Allen Edward Taber February 10th, 1946 - July 18th, 2010. It is with heartfelt sorrow that our family announces the peaceful passing of Allen Edward Taber of Tillsonburg at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Sunday, July 18, 2010 with his family at the age of 64 year. Beloved wife of Mary Lou Taber (nee: Summers). Dear father of Dwayne Taber and his wife Amanda of Welland. Cherished grandfather of Dillon, Nathan, Allison.

Allen was predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Mildred Taber. Dear brother of Pat Linn and her husband Kim of Lynedoch; Jim Taber of Waterloo, Shirley Snively and her husband Gordie of Bloomsburg. Predeceased by sister Betty Curran of Nova Scotia.

Also survived by aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. Son-in-law of Harold and Freda Summers of Aylmer, brother-in-law of Vicky and Donnie Carrel of Brownsville, Kenny and Linda Summers of New Sarum, Maxine and Rick Posthumus of Aylmer, Georgina and Steve Blankenship of Aylmer. Good friends of Harold and Marie Pake of Aylmer, Bob and Annette Leighfield of Tillsonburg, Margaret Ketchabaw of Vienna, Lloyd and Evelyn Livingstone of Vienna, Muriel Phillips of St. Thomas. Also, survived by his special friend Ron Harding of Tillsonburg, and his dear friend of Margaret Nobbs of St. Thomas.

Allen was a life member of Tillsonburg Ashlar Lodge A.F. & A.M. #701, a member of Woodstock Lodge of Perfection #33 A. & A.S.R., Centennial Chapter Rose Croix 18 degree Woodstock, Moore Sovereign Consistory Hamilton 32 degree, a member of Mocha Temple of London, a member of the Tillsonburg Shrine club, and the Woodstock Shrine Clown Unit, a member of McDonald Chapter #167 Order of the Eastern Star (Past Patron) for 30 years, Rainbow Dove club (Past Grand) and an Ontario representative of Ohio 1991-1993 of the Eastern Star, Past patron of Day Light Chapter of Nilestown, and a 6 year member of the St. Thomas Kettle Valley Pioneers.

Funeral service for Allen will be held in Ostranders Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 11 a.m. Rev. Les Hills of Toronto officiating. Interment Tillsonburg Cemetery.
