Motague Blankenship, 78, of Foley, Ala., formerly of Charleston, husband of Evelyn Blankenship, died Feb. 2 at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. He was retired from Libbey-Owens Ford Glass Co., Charleston.

Also surviving are two daughters, Phyllis McDowell of Winter Park, Fla., and Paulette Fikes of Alberta, Ala. four brothers, James Blankenship of Alum Creek, Delmar Blankenship of Scott Depot, Ralph Blankenship of Pennsboro, and Tommy Blankenship of Allentown, Pa. and three sisters, Geraldine Wade of Hurricane, Audrey Robinson of Cocoa, Fla., and Guynith McClure of Alum Creek.

Graveside service 11 a.m. Tuesday at Forks of Coal Memorial Park, Alum Creek.

Funeral for Hubert W. Blankenship was held Monday, September 8, 1997, 2 p.m., at Cave Springs Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Jerry Strickland, Ron Edgil and Amos Hood officiating. Burial was in the Union Hill Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Grandsons were the pallbearers.

Mr. Blankenship died Saturday, September 6, 1997, at Carraway Methodist Hospital in Birmingham. He was born in Lawrence County, was a member of Cave Springs Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Blankenship; two sons, Jerreld Blankenship of Moulton and Tim Blankenship of Hatton; a daughter, Euvone Clemmons of Hatton; a brother, D. C. Blankenship of Hatton; four sisters, Julia Smith, Edith Coleman and Reba McNairy, all of Hatton and Myrtle Terry of Sheffield; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Blankenship was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Blankenship.

Survivors include three sons, Danny Blankenship of Moulton, Ronnie Blankenship and Timothy Blankenship, both of Town Creek; three daughters, Ann Green, Louise Parker and Sandra Harris, all of Town Creek; four brothers, Rex Allen and Delano Allen, both of Kansas City, Mo., Dwight Allen of Spring Valley and O.D. Allen of Town Creek; a sister, Peggy Wilson of Georgia; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral was Tuesday, December 9. The 2 p.m. service was held a Wolf Springs Church of Christ with Maurice Logan, Calvin Jones and Bob Sims officiating. Burial was in the Providence Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Denny Blankenship, Dusten Blankenship, Darrin Kerby, Mitch Rhea, Greg Dutton and Ken Grissom.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheila Lou Basham.

Gertrude was a native of Lawrence County and a member of Shady Grove United Methodists Church. She was the widow of Mack Moland.

She is survived by three sons, Herman Moland of Fort Wayne Indiana, Herbert Moland of Midway and Hubert Moland of Hartselle; four daughters, Hazel McClaine and Lorene Ward, both of Somerville; and Marie Etheridge and Hattie Ingle, both of Decatur; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral was Saturday, March 20, at 3:30 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Crooner officiating. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery near Parkertown. Pallbearers were Anthony Etheridge, Kenny Etheridge, Dewayne Moland, Tim Widner, Dennis Ratliff and Jaradda Sparks.

Obituary;

Doris Deason Blankenship, 60, of Parrish died Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998, at her residence.

The funeral will be at Zion Church of Christ in Parrish with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Charles Bryan will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dion Lawson, Butch Lawson, Giles Cook, Bobby Robertson, George Harland and Doug Mullinax.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Mae Deason; brother, Lecil Deason; and three sisters, Wanda Robertson, Dorothy Mullinax and Susan Rutter.

She is survived by her husband, Richard E. Blankenship of Parrish; two sons, Richard A. and his wife, Danita Blankenship of Parrish and James M. and his wife, Donna Blankenship of Jasper; brother, Hansel Deason of Parrish; and four grandchildren, Jarret Blankenship, Alison Blankenship, Crimson Morrow and Kristy Blankenship.
