                Phoenix, May 1st. – The city election today was the most exciting ever held here. A. Leonard Meyer (rep.) was elected Mayor. Defeating Judge Alexander (Dem.); J. W. Blankenship was elected Marshal, and W. R. Morris Treasure.”
