https://www.faithfuneralservice.net/obituary/1381

Reba Jean Wren Pepper Blankenship ("Jeanie" to family and friends) of Paragould, AR, fell asleep in death Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Green Acres Nursing Home, at age 75. She was born September 23, 1944 to Melvin Morgan and Rilla (Wilson) Wren in Saint Louis, MO.

Jeanie was a generous person and a mother to all. She could make a person laugh--or cry--with a single look. She cared deeply, loved fiercely, and made sure everyone she met felt like family. As a single mother, she raised 5 children with a good work ethic and strong family values. To all that, she was also a spiritual woman. She dedicated her life to our heavenly Father in 1974 and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on December 8th of that year. Jeanie read her Bible every day before memory loss took over and spoke about God to all that would listen. Through this, she found hope in God's promises of resurrection (Acts 24:15) and doing away with death forever (Revelation 21:4). Her close family and many friends rejoice in that hope as well, and look forward to welcoming Jeanie back when she is told to "wake up"!

Jeanie is preceded in death by both parents; brothers Harold and Donald Wren; sister Zelee Repple; daughter Kimberly Jean Pepper Hill; grandson, Anthony Nicholas Pepper, as well as other extended family members.

Jeanie is succeeded by sons Robert Franklin Pepper (Deanna) of Paragould, AR; Michael Charles Pepper of Saint Louis, MO, Mark Alan Pepper (Cade) of Hecker, IL and David Daniel Pepper (Sonja) of Columbia, IL, as well as grandchildren Andrew Pepper and Alex Pepper of Saint Louis, MO; Morgan Pepper and Victoria Pepper of Hecker, IL; Miranda Pepper Duke (Cody) of Saint Charles, MO and Phoebe Pepper of Columbia, IL.

Due to current pandemic restrictions, there will be no visitation or funeral services. A memorial service will be held for Jeanie at a later date via Zoom. Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas.

https://www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/services.asp?locid=31&page=odetail&id=56039

On July 20, 2020 at 12:01AM, Abigaile Louise Blankenship embarked on a monumental adventure and sang her very first song among the angels. On April 23, 2008 at 1:46PM in Memphis, TN, Abi made her grand entrance into the world. She was welcomed to the world by her mother, Jamie Weatherly, and her father, Dennis Blankenship.

Abigaile came home to two big sisters, Kara Blankenship & Destini Blankenship. A few short years later, she gained her earthly bonus dad, Gary Swain & an eldest bonus sister, Natasha Richardson.

Her sass, spunk, and unorthodox attitude was evident far before she took her first breath, and this incredible ambience evolved throughout the 4,471 days she walked among the earth. During her short & meaningful stay here, Abi accomplished more than many might in a hundred years. She was an avid reader, inhaling literature like air and relishing every tale. Abi Lou created art with the passion and gusto of the most renowned virtuosos this planet has ever known. She was a gamer, a learner, and an experimenter. Her singing rang through the ears and hearts of anyone blessed enough to hear it. Abi was a giver of free high fives, overflowing love, and all the jokes any person could handle.

Abi Lou was always the honest opinion when you needed someone to give it to you straight. She was a lover of animals, musicals, and everything glitter. She was an advocate for the hospital that helped her fight her best fight. Abi was far beyond her years in intelligence and wisdom. Every individual that Abi met was greatly impacted by her off-beat impeccable strength and positive attitude despite every adversity.

+2020, Beckley, Raleigh Co., WV, Obituary

https://obituaries.fayettetribune.com/obituary/mary-blankenship-1079472471

Mary Lou Johnson Blankenship passed away on July 4, 2020, at the age of 92. She was born at Skelton, WV, on December 12, 1927, to parents Russell Fletcher and Mary Susan Fink Johnson.

Mary Lou was proud to be a coal miner's daughter and loved to tell stories of growing up in New River Skelton camp. She was proud to have begun school in Skelton's 2-room schoolhouse, and was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, class of 1945.

While working in Skelton Company Store in 1946, she met a handsome sailor, home from WWII. He often joked about looking over the counter in the butcher shop, which got him in the biggest trouble of his life. She maintained that he chased her until she caught him. Mary Lou and B. B. "Blue" Blankenship were married in December, 1947. To this union were born two children, William Halsey and Natalie Susan.

Mary Lou and Blue had nearly 34 good years together before cancer claimed him in 1981. Blue and Mary Lou hosted many cookouts, Sunday dinners, and impromptu gatherings for friends and family over the years. No one was ever turned away from the Blankenship household. There was much love and laughter shared under the roof of our little house.

Being a resourceful and tough woman, Mary Lou, who had been out of the work force for 25 years, went back to work one month after Blue's passing. She was a by-your-boot-straps kind of gal, who passed her grit and determination on to her children and grandchildren.

Mary Lou began working at Leggett/Belk in 1981, where she remained employed, until her retirement at the age of 74. She developed friendships with her many customers, worried about them in their time of need, and kept candy under the check-stand for any children who might visit.

Meamaw loved to dance, was a fan of big-band and country music, and she loved planting her spring flowers and porch-sitting with her friends, family, and neighbors. She was a member of The Women of the Moose.

As a mother, Mary Lou was kind but tough, with high expectations. As a grandmother, Meamaw was soft, involved, and proud. She was the maker of French toast, grilled cheese, and Sunday dinner. As the children and grandchildren grew older, her home was a haven for not only them, but for their friends as well. Many, many of those friends spent nights under her roof and time at her table. All who entered were loved, fed, and cared for. She was everyone's mom and Meamaw.

In addition to her parents, Mary Lou is predeceased by her husband, B. B. "Blue" Blankenship. Her siblings: infant sister Betty Johnson, Luther Johnson, Nina McManus, William Johnson, Martha Brown, Eva Sue Duncan, and Russell Fletcher Johnson, Jr. Now, oh glad reunion!

Those surviving to cherish and keep her legacy are her children, William H. Blankenship, and wife Debbie, of Ocala, Florida; and Natalie Coots and husband Larry, of Beckley, WV. She is also survived by her sister, Dona Kay Parkulo, and husband, Donald, of Beckley and by a sister-in-law Dolly Johnson of Port Charlotte, Fl. Meamaw is also survived by the joy and shining pride of her life, her grandchildren: William H. Blankenship II, and wife Celeise; Todd G. Blankenship and wife Allison; Jill E. Fore and husband Mac, all of Ocala, Fl.; Mark C. Blankenship and wife Kari, of Charleston, WV; and Jacob S. Coots, of Morgantown, WV. Eight great- grandchildren, Halsey and Bryce Fore, Landon and Lydia Blankenship, Elle and Mark Blankenship II, and Jack and Abigail Blankenship, will be told stories of Meamaw. She is survived by her former daughter-in-law and the mother of 4 of her grandchildren, Cathy Clark, of Ocala, Fl. Mary Lou's longtime special friend, Dan Brock, also survives. She is survived by a host of nephews, nieces, and friends, and fond cousin, Bill Fink and wife Peggy, of Oak Hill.

Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at 1 pm, with Pastor Roger Pauley officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV.
