LaVerne Ann Blankenship, 68, passed away at her home in Fuquay Varina,

in Trenton, NJ but was raised in Richlands, VA and was the daughter of
the late Lawrence and Dolores Blankenship.
She retired in
April of 2021 in Property Management from Camden Management. She was a 1971
graduate of Richlands High School. Some people live their whole lives trying to
fit in and be like everyone else. Then there are others, who are fiercely
independent, chase their dreams with abandon and make their mark in the world. LaVerne was the latter. She was driven to be successful in
the business world and was a mentor to many who will follow in her footsteps.
She was a protective mother, caring for her children
and helping them grow into responsible adults who make a positive difference in
the lives of others. She was not a person who sugar-coated the truth. If you
wanted (and sometimes if you didn't) her opinion on a matter, you'd better be
prepared to hear what she thought - no holds barred. She loved her children,
her grandchildren and her special canine companion without reservation and they
loved her. When all is said and done, the love remains.
