https://www.ransfordcollon.com/obituaries#/obituary/penny-baker-blankenship/

Penny Blankenship July 22, 1961 - October 1, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Penny Baker Blankenship announces her sudden passing on October 1, 2022 at the age of 61. Penny was born and raised in Tuscola County.

She worked in the medical field as a caregiver all her life. She loved life in the UP, her children, God, and family. She is a woman who had overcome so much with so very little; she took pride in that. Penny made a difference in so many peoples’ lives by displaying her very loving, generous, and forgiving heart. She made it a mission in life to be there for those who had no one; if she needed to clothe or house someone, she did.

Penny deeply loved her children and grandchildren with each one of their differences. She took pride in what she had created as she lived a life of sacrifice for those she loved. If she loved you well, you knew; she did anything to make anyone happy. She had a pure heart with a loudmouth, loved Elvis, country music, food, and good family get togethers. Penny was a hard independent woman her entire life who followed her heart. To her a mistake was an unknown lesson. She was our miracle in so many ways. A lesson and blessing to us all.

Penny will forever be remembered by her children, Heather Fader, Terra Morton, Kimberly Harris, Brent Harris; grandchildren, Jerome Baker, Dylan Judalet, Daren Judalet, Dahlia Trammel, Delani Trammel, Draco Trammel, along with numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings, Micheal Williams, Patricia Warner, Carl Trout, Victoria Balzer, Vada Bolzman, Bogart Trout, Tina Torres, and Robin Murphy. Penny has numerous more family and friends whom she loved and deeply loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Lou and Alvin Baker; her older sister, Sherry Oaks; as well as the love of her life, Howard Harris.

Penny was well known for her heart of gold and silly humorous moments. She will be missed by many.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro.
