https://www.dalewoodwardfuneralhomes.com/obituaries/Hailey-May-Blankenship?obId=27450327

Hailey May Blankenship, August 14, 2002 - March 4, 2023

Losing someone you love is one of the most difficult experiences in life. The passing of our beautiful Hailey is a tragic reminder of how devastating life in this world can be.

Hailey was a young lady who had a special love for her cats and enjoyed spending time reading books. Her mom and Billy were the world to her. She was always excited when she knew it was her time to be with them, whether it was breakfast with dad or going somewhere special with mom. Her sister Chloe was her world. Me and Angel were talking about how we have known Hailey since the 5th grade and her personality has never changed. She was loyal to her friends.

Hailey was also someone who found joy in helping others, volunteering her time and talent to help me face paint for various outreaches with our youth group.

Her willingness to serve and her kind spirit left a positive impact on me, and I believe everyone who knew her. We will always cherish the moments we spent with her, the laughter, and the joy she brought into our lives. But what I loved most about her was her heart.

Hailey embodied humility and caring towards all things, big and small. I remember Hailey coming to see us after we lost our home in the house fire, and she just showed up. Even though she was just a kid, her love and hugs had more value than anything that was given to our family.

I know I mentioned Hailey helping us in youth group. She did come to church with us. You know people often ask if God is so loving and powerful… why didn’t he stop a tragedy from happening?

"That's a complex question with no easy answer. Many of us grapple with the question of why God allows suffering and tragedy to happen in the world. Some argue that God grants us free will, and with that comes the possibility for humans to make choices that result in harm to others.”

Her family asks that we never let her light dim and that we always remember how beautiful her smile was and that she forever lives in our hearts.

Service; 4:00 pm, Monday, March 13 20230, at Dale Woodward Funeral Homes and Cremation Services

+2023, Lexington, Henderson Co., TN, Obituary

https://stanfillfuneralhome.com/obituaries/clara_blankenship/

Clara Mae Blankenship, 11/20/1938 – 3/7/2023

She was born Clara Mae Lyles on November 20, 1938 to Oscar and Zelma Lyles of Decatur County, TN. Oscar died when Clara was an infant and she was raised by her step father, Elmer Rosson whom she loved dearly.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. She loved being “Granny” to all of her grandkids and cooking for her family as they gathered at Granny’s house. She loved her family and was so proud of them. She dreamed of getting an iPhone, which she finally did, so that she could more easily show pictures and videos to anyone who would help her open it to find the photo albums. Her photos were full of her family, especially the babies.

She was a strong woman of faith and attended Darden Baptist Church. She had a servant’s heart which was shown throughout her life. She started her career as a nurse 60 years ago at Decatur County Hospital. She was the definition of a strong and independent woman. She put herself through school and graduated from Union University all while working a full-time job and raising her children. She also worked at Jackson Madison County General Hospital, but most enjoyed working her later years in home health. She truly was a boss at heart and everywhere she worked would eventually find herself as a manager or coordinator.

She was a world traveler and had many adventures in lots of different countries and states. She loved visiting the Smoky Mountains and was blessed to visit the Holy Lands twice. Everyone loved to hear of her travels. She was an excellent story teller which was passed on to several of her grandchildren. Her Church family would tell you that Clara’s testimonies were always moving and entertaining. It was evident that she let Jesus work through her heart and soul. There was no more important relationship to her than the one she had with Jesus Christ. She also loved animals and always had a pet or two or three. She especially loved her chickens and spoke fondly of her old mule, Einer, that lived to be 32 years old.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother O. B. Lyles, her children Deborah Lee Box and Dr. Gregory Alan Box, and granddaughters Christina Box and Emily Box.

She is survived by her eldest son, Danny Lynn Box (Michaelle) of Parsons, TN, daughter-in-law Jenita Box-Boggan (Daniel),five grandchildren, Jessica Stanfill (Seth) of Lexington, TN, Patricia Putney (Jordan) of Oakland, TN, Michael Box of Parsons, TN, Joshua Box (Mackenzie) of Fairfax, VA, and Lyles Box of Lexington, TN, and three great grandchildren, Jamison Putney, Sadie Stanfill, and Sage Stanfill. Clara died peacefully in her home that she built on March 7, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Clara will be deeply missed but her memories cherished forever by her family and friends.

Her celebration of life service will be at 6 pm, on March 20, 2023, at Darden Baptist Church. Stanfill Funeral Home & Cremation, Lexington, Henderson Co., TN

https://www.canalefuneraldirectors.com/obituaries/Page-Blankinship/#!/Obituary

Page Miller Blankinship, a strong-willed spirit who lived life by her own rules, sometimes tempting fate flitting from feats to frolics, sometimes providing safe havens for kindred souls, died on March 1. A Memphis-native, Page was born to Dr. Richard Braun Miller and Katherine Fields Miller on April 7, 1955.

Page attended St. Agnes and Hutchison before graduating from White Station High School (WSHS). She enrolled at Peabody College and later transferred to Memphis State, where she graduated magna cum laude. After earning her Master’s in English, Page found her educator home at WSHS teaching English, Latin, Etymology, and Mythology and, in the role she held dearest, supervising The Scroll, WSHS’s newspaper. Page’s razor sharp wit shined nowhere brighter than in her writing. And as a teacher, she instilled within hundreds a similar passion for words and love of story-telling—stories in which her legacy will forever live.

Page was preceded in death by her father, Richard Braun Miller; mother, Katherine Fields Miller; and son Marshall Braun Drake.

Page is survived by her son, William Holt Burnett; daughter, Katherine Fields Blankinship; sister, Katye Lauletti, brothers—Robert Miller, John Miller, Michael Miller—and grandson, Holden Burnett.

“I went through many trials, glories, and changes in my life and character, such is life” ~PMB

May Page find her home amongst the stars so lovely. May she once again embrace her son, who left us far too early. May she find peace, finally flying pain-free.

A graveside service will be held at 10 am, on March 8, 2023, at Cavalry Cemetery. Canale Funeral Directors, 2700 Union Avenue Extended, Memphis, TN.
