Ronald N. Blankenship, 50, of Forrest died at 7:15 a.m. yesterday (Sept. 23, 1989) at
Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Mr. Blankenship died of natural causes,
according to Peoria County Coroner Herbert Buzbee.
The exact cause of death will be known at a later date, he said.
His graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chenoa
Cemetery, the Rev. Grant Sension officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Duffy-Pils
Memorial Home, Chenoa.
He was born Dec. 30, 1938, in Pontiac, a son of Gilbert D. and Sarah Ellen Wilson Blankenship.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy L.
White and Janet O'Neil, both of Pontiac; one brother, William Blankenship, Marseilles; two sisters, Lillie M. Allgood, Fairfield, and Karen Lantis, Ottawa; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three
sisters and one son. Mr.
Blankenship had lived in
Forrest for the past 15 years and was a draftsman for Fairbury Industries for
several years.

Mr. Knecht, a farmer, died at 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday (April 18, 1989) at home. He had been under a doctor's care. He was
born Sept. 23, 1922, in Lincoln, a son of Edward and Kathryn Schmidt Knecht. He married Marilyn Atteberry
on Jan. 31, 1948, in Lincoln. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Edward, LaMesa,
Calif.; and Tom and John, both of Lincoln; one brother, Lawrence, Lincoln; two
sisters, Sister Kathryn Edward, Chicago Heights, and Dorothy Blankenship, Atlanta; and four grandchildren. He was a
member of Holy Family Church and farmed in Logan County most of his life.

Galloway, Lincoln; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by one son, one brother and one sister.
Mrs. Barrow worked for 20 years as a clerk at Sears, Roebuck and
Co. catalog store in Lincoln. She was a member of the First United Methodist
Church, Lincoln.

Charles M. Blankenship 62, of Palmyra, formerly of Springfield, died at 12:12 a.m.
Tuesday at St. John's Hospital. He was born Feb. 3, 1927, in Springfield, the
son of Luther Monroe and Myrtle Hawkins Blankenship.
He married Ruth Mosley in 1958 in Elkhart. He was formerly employed
by Friendly Chevrolet and Autobody Damage Appraisers.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, Dean and Jim; and one sister, Hazel Bratton. Mr.
Blankenship was a veteran of
World War II and the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth A. Mosley; one son, Michael E. of Glenarm; two daughters, Joanna Dodd of Springfield and Mrs. James (Marilyn Jo)
Bitter of Stevensville, Md.; several grandchildren; several
great-grandchildren; four brothers, Lester and Lawrence, both of Virden, Cecil of Patterson Bay and William of Kingman, Ariz.; three sisters, Viola Allen
and Mrs. Byron (Violet) Jackson, both of Springfield, and Belva Blankenship of Carlinville.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Vancil
Memorial Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Russell McInnis officiating. Burial will
be in Union Cemetery in Pisgah.

Bergan died at 4:23 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Medical Center. He worked at
Central Illinois Light Co. for 40 years, last as a foreman before retiring in
1972. He was a member of Sunnyland Christian Church. Born
May 16, 1908 in East Peoria to James and Annie Norris Blankenship, he married
Evelyn June Davison March 30, 1932.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Ralph of Peoria; three
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Four sisters and five brothers preceded
him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at
Davison-Fulton Western Chapel, the Rev Darrell Harrison officiating. Burial
will be in Lutheran Cemetery.

Evelyn June Blankenship, 73, of 129 N. Bergan died at 7:50 p.m., Friday, January 13, 1989
at St. Francis Medical Center. Born April 27,1915 in
Farmington to Alfred and Lena Kesler Davison, she married Harold E. Blankenship on March 30, 1932 in Pekin.
He died December 23, 1988. She also was preceded in death by one
brother.
Surviving are one son, Ralph of Peoria; three grandchildren: three
great-grandchildren; one brother, Dexter Davison of Farmington; and one sister,
Alice McKee of Peoria.
She retired from Carson Pirie Scott & Co. as a sales clerk.
Before that she had worked for the P&PU Railroad Credit Union and as an
admitting clerk at Proctor Community Hospital. She was a member of Sunnyland Christian Church, the Organ Club and the Peoria
Stroke Club.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Davison-FUlton
Western Chapel. The Rev. Darrell Harrison will officiate. Burial will be in
Lutheran Cemetery.
