Mrs. Theodora Marie Blankenship, 23, wife of Thomas J. Blankenship, farmer, died at 2:15 o'clock this morning at the Atchison hospital.

She had been ill two months with leukemia and entered the hospital Monday. She previously had been a patient at the hospital. The Blankenship home is 10 miles south of Atchison on route 1.

Theodora Marie McCune was born on route 1, Leavenworth, Nov. 7, 1930. She moved here with her parents in 1942. She attended Central grade school and was graduated from Atchison High School in 1949. Her parents moved to Potter in 1950. June 22, 1949 she was married to Thomas J. Blankenship at Leavenworth. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church and the Ladies Aid society. Mrs. Blankenship was a loving wife and daughter and a wonderful mother.

Besides her husband Mrs. Blankenship is survived by two daughters, Cheryll Lynn, 2 1/2, and Linda Sue, 1; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore McCune, Potter; two sisters, Mrs. Delwin Bomberger (Irma), Meriden, and Jennean McCune of the home and two brothers, Marvin Wayne McCune, Atchison, and Elmer Glenn McCune of the home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran church, the Rev. Edward Hauer officiating. The body is at the Stanton mortuary and will lie in state at the church for an hour prior to the services.
