Charles R. "Charlie"
Blankenship, Jr., 65, formerly of Westminster, died early Monday, February 9, 2009, at
Copper Ridge of Sykesville. He was the husband of Judith L.
(Russell) Blankenship for almost 43 years. Born August 15, 1943, in
Baltimore, Md., he was the son of Charles R. Blankenship, Sr. of Arbutus, MD.,
and the late Anna (Benet) Blankenship. He was an Edmonson High School graduate of
Baltimore. He was a home builder for 30 years in the Maryland and southern PA
area. He served in the Army and was transferred to the National Guard from 1965-70.
In addition to his wife and father, he is
survived by two sons and their wives, Todd R. and Mandy Blankenship of Littlestown
and Dean
P. and Amanda Blankenship of Westminster; twin grandchildren, Ben and Emma Blankenship of Littlestown;
two brothers, James and John Blankenship, both of Baltimore, Md.; and a sister, Karen Baker of
Westminster, Md.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m.
Thursday at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown, with the Rev. Timothy J. Kielley, of St. Paul's Lutheran Church York St., Hanover,
officiating. Inurnment will be private in Lake View Memorial Park, Eldersburg,
Md.

Daniel Martin "Marty" Fadrowski,
of Sykesville, died May 9, 2009, while scuba diving in Pennsylvania. He was 56.
Born March 30, 1953, in Baltimore, he was the son of Walter Richard Fadrowski Jr. and Dorothy Mae Harlan Fadrowski,
of Elkridge. Mr. Fadrowski was the husband of Barbara
Jean See, of Sykesville. A 1971 graduate of Howard High School, he had
been a salesman in commercial heavy equipment. Mr. Fadrowski
was an Assistant Scout Master with Boy Scout Troop 110 Sykesville/Freedom
Optimist. He enjoyed decorating his home extensively for Christmas and had won
the Town of Sykesville Christmas Light contest for two years. He was a skilled
handyman.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are his son, Mark
Daniel, of Sykesville; his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Fadrowski,
of Sykesville; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael David Fadrowski, of Mount Airy, David Paul and Laura Fadrowski, of Arbutus, Matthew Joseph and Kelly Fadrowski, of Ellicott City, and Robert Charles and Tracy Fadrowski, of Elkridge; his sisters and brother-in-law,

and Ann Katherine and Chuck Edwards, of Westminster; his mother-in-law and

Robert H. Blankenship "Bobby" Age 43 of Elkton, MD died Monday, July 16,
2001 at home. Bobby was born in Havre de Grace, MD February 24, 1958 to Betty S. Blankenship of Elkton, MD and the late Charles E. Blankenship, Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Cecil
County, MD and retired on disability from General Motors, where he worked in
the body and paint shop. Mr.
Blankenship enjoyed fishing
and hunting.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his son, Justin Michael Blankenship of Elkton, MD, brother and sister, Charles E. "Chuck" Blankenship of Elkton, MD and Lynn McAllister of Oxford, PA; and his dog, Snowflake.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 21 at the
CROUCH FUNERAL HOME, 127 S. Main St., North East, MD 21901, where friends may
call from 9-11. Rev. Boyd B. Etter of the North East
Methodist Church will be officiating and interment will be in the North East

Mrs. Sheets was a homemaker. She had worked for Dade Behring, Inc.,
Glasgow, DE, for 15 years. Mrs. Sheets enjoyed her family, especially her
grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and traveling.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of 44
years, Jack Sheets; children, Sandra Sheets Griscom,
Steven Sheets and wife, Tina, all of Elkton, MD, and Gregory Sheets and wife,
Donna, Wilmington, DE; sister, Marie Tessa, New Castle, DE; and grandchildren, Jayme Freeman, Kayla Griscom, Nicholas Sheets, and Zachary Crescenzo.

Frank Randall "Randy" Blankenship of Aberdeen died Sept. 1, 2005, as a
result of a motorcycle accident. He was 24. Born Oct. 24, 1980 at Harford
Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD, Mr. Blankenship was
the son of Norman and Mancy
Wagoner Blankenship of
Perryville. He was employed by Thompson Electric in Aberdeen and had previously
worked at Rick's Rain Gutters and J.P. Chevrolet. He earned a second degree
black belt in Tae Kwon Do, was a member of the Empire Dreams Car Club and
enjoyed playing ice hockey with the Dragons in York, PA. Mr. Blankenship volunteered at the VA Hospital at Perry
Point, where he accumulated more than 600 hours of service. He was a registered
organ donor. Relatives said he was devoted to his family and always smiling,
and was a kind and gentle young man who touched many people's hearts.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancee, Christa Young of Aberdeen; two daughters Kailey Elizabeth Blankenship and Autumn Kay Mullins
of Aberdeen; a brother, Adam
Blankenship of Perryville, and
his fiancee, Amanda Young of Perryville; his
grandparents, Katie Webb of Perryville and Marie Cianelli
Wagoner of Havre de Grace.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Gilbert Wagoner, Frank Webb and Ruby Lowe Blankenship.

James T. Amberman Sr., of Aberdeen, died
Tuesday December 9, 2008, at his home. He was 79. Born in Delta, PA on Oct. 15,
1929, he was the son of the late James H. and Mina Amberman.
After retiring from United Automatic Sales he became a driver for Key Point
Health, he loved antique automobiles and he especially loved his family, he was
a veteran of the US Army.

Richard Sylvester "Dickie" Souder, 78, died Jan. 24, 2009
at Georgetown University Hospital. Born Nov. 8, 1930 in Laurel, he was the son
of the late Norma (Scaggs) and William Souder. Mr.
Souder was a meat inspector at Esskay for more than
20 years. His family remembers that he enjoyed sitting on his front porch
drinking cold beer with friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in
death by his wife, Myrtle
(Blankenship) Souder; daughter
Jennifer Joan Souder; stepson Calvin Childress; and brothers Brian and Robert
Souder.
Mr. Souder is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Lepore, Valorie Souder and Rita
Sue Souder; stepson Darrell Childress; grandchildren Jessica Lee, Tiffany,
Nicole, Kelsey, Kimberly, Michael and Patrick; three great-grandchildren; and
brother Buster Souder.
Visitation was Jan. 29 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Donaldson
Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Ave. Funeral services were
Jan. 30 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial was at Emmanuel United Methodist
Church Cemetery in Scaggsville.

Everett Emory "Buck" Newman, 89, of Clarksburg died Aug.
15, 2008, at his home. Born Aug. 13, 1919, in Pine Creek, Va., he was the son
of the late Henry A. Newman and Lula M. Smith. He was the husband of the late
Billie Dillon Newman, who died in 1977. They had been married for 37 years. Mr.
Newman served in the U.S. Navy during World War II with Construction Battalion
Maintenance Unit 568 (Seabees) in the Philippines. He was retired from the
United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 1590, of
Washington, D.C., and was a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church.
Survivors include six children, Betty Peck of Clarksburg, Richard
Newman and wife Tammy of Damascus, Gloria Briggs and husband Frederick of Comus, Everett E. Newman Jr. of Keedysville,
and Christine Farrell and Cheryl A. Newman, both of Rockville; two brothers,
William Newman and wife Toni of Rockville and Wallace Newman and wife Peggy of
Port Republic, Va.; two sisters, Nancy Brodnax of
Highlands Springs, Va., and Shirley Clark of Union Bridge; six grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded
in death by three sisters, Kathleen Blankenship,
Pauline Murrell and Winnie Harris; one brother, Clinton Newman; and one
son-in-law, William Farrell.
Funeral services were held Aug. 20 at Mountain View United
Methodist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Ruth Confer Thompson, 89 of Laurel, Md. and formerly of Monument,
passed away Sunday, February 3, 2008 at the Laurel Hospital. She was born on
January 1, 1919 in Curtin, a daughter of John and Verna Yeager Bowmaster.
She is survived by three daughters,
Vonda Blankenship of North Carolina, Barbara Evans of
Maryland and Penny of California; Three sons, Charles and Elmer Confer of
Pennsylvania and Raymond of California; and many grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by four sons and two daughters.
Funeral services will be Friday, february 8, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Kader-Neff
Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 135 W. Main St., Howard, Pa. with the
Rev. Donald Fornwalt officiating. Burial will be in
Highland Cemetery, Howard.

John M. Galeazza, 77, of Charlotte Hall,
died July 13, 2008. He was born April 10, 1931 in Washington, D.C., the son of
the late Nick and Mary Galeazza. Mr. Galeazza served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1951. He was
an electrician. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his
wife Shirley Galeazza.
Mr. Galeazza is survived by sisters Antoniette Corby of Annapolis and Mary Blankenship of Morningside, step-son Terry Farris and
niece Suzanne McLennan.
A memorial service was held Wednesday at the Maryland Veterans
Cemetery in Cheltenham.

Funeral services for Herbert Alfred Young, 79, husband of Sarajane Taylor Young, of Hancock, Md., who died Wednesday,
Nov. 7, 2007, were held Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Westview Baptist Church with
Pastors Johnny Kelly, Malcolm Cadd and Bryan Dugger officiating. Interment was in the Rosedale Cemetery,
with military graveside honors by the Veterans Combined Honor Guard. Members
were James H. Grose, John Harmison, Mark Davis, Frank
Barna and Kit Gardner. Representing the Army National
Guard 357 MP Company were Master Sgt. Wilson, Staff Sgt. Aikens and Sgt. Heppele. Bearers were Bruce Kufferath,
Mike True, Andy Blankenship, David Blankenship
and Tom Wagner. Musical selections were provided by Winston Manning, Westview
Baptist Church Choir and Craig Hess. The musical selection, “Leader Of The Band” was played on CD. Remembrances were provided by
family and friends.

Sarajane Taylor Young, 75 of Hancock, Md., died
Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at home. Born March 21, 1933, in Paden, Miss., she was
the daughter of the late William "Buzz" Taylor and Vivian Greene
Young. Sarajane was a graduate of Martinsburg High
School and a member of Westview Baptist Church. She owned and operated a dog
kennel. She was a poet, a seamstress, a great cook and a mother to many more
than just her own children. She loved target shooting, crocheting, dancing,
music and showed great compassion for others with needs. She was a Sunday
school teacher, a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Junior Women's
Club. She was a devoted wife and mother to seven children.
She is survived by her three sons, Herbert Alfred Young II, of
Ormond Beach, Fla., John Michael Young, of Davie, Fla., and David Taylor Young,
of Hancock; four daughters, Beverly Susan True, of Warfordsburg,
Pa., Mary Vivian Hornbaker, of Berkeley Springs, Sara
Jean Wagner, of Hancock and Gloria Jane "Janie" Young, of Berkeley
Springs; one brother, Don Lourin Taylor, of Ocala,
Fla.; eight grandchildren, Andrew

William Blankenship, John
William Young, Shane Austin Young, Emily Marie Hornbaker,
Sara Elizabeth Wagner, Christopher Thomas Wagner; nine step-grandchildren,

and Nickie; six step-great-grand-children; nieces and
nephews; sons-in-law, Michael True, Tom Wagner and Bruce Kufferath;
and daughters-in-law, Robin Young and Debbie Young.
She was preceded in death in 2007 by her husband of 56 years,
Herbert Alfred Young; and one brother, William "Dee Dee"
Taylor.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, at Westview Baptist
Church with Pastor Malcolm Cadd officiating.
Interment will be at Rosedale Cemetery.
