Cynthia B. Waugh, 63, died on July 30, 2005, with family by her
side, at the Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, Maine. She had resided in
Statesboro, Georgia. Cynthia was born in West Bethel on June 23, 1942, a
daughter of Franklin and Doris (Smith) Burris. She graduated from Gould Academy
in Bethel Class of 1961. She enjoyed doing needlepoint, cross-stitching,
quilting, knitting, was an avid reader, and loved
spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her dog
"Ginger."
She was married in Rumford on September 24, 1977 to Wilfred J.
Waugh, who survives of Statesboro, Georgia. Other survivors include her father,
Franklin Burris of Indialantic, FL; two daughters, Heather Hansen of Cape
Elizabeth, and Cheryl Lowman and husband, Dean of Gastonia, NC; two sons, Brian
Dickson and wife, Tammy of Palm Bay, FL, and Jeffrey Dickson and wife, Donna of
Lemore, CA; a step-son, Jamie Dickson and companion,
Judy Van Steemburg of Portland; six grandchildren;
five sisters, Gloria Hopkins and husband, David of St. Augustine, FL, June Blankenship of Indialantic, FL, Mary Lockwood and
husband, Jon of Akin, SC, Linda Watson and husband, Tom of Kearney, NE, and
Margaret Wilson and husband, Jim of Valencia, CA; a brother, Franklin Burris , Jr and wife, Janet of Solon, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3 at
the Meader & Son Funeral Home, Rumford, with Rev.
Virginia Snapp-Cunningham officiating.

Ruth Marion "Ruthie" Brown Kimball, 88, of Norway, died
Thursday, June 21, at Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center, where she had
lived for the past five years. She was born in Keene, NH, May 23, 1924, the
daughter of Hollis and Lillian Hartford Brown.
She enjoyed traveling, camping, boating and music, also being with
family and friends. She has now gone to be with the one she missed very much,
her love of her life, our dad, Edwin C. Kimball, married Aug. 17, 1946. He died
Feb. 22, 2006. In her younger years, she faithfully served our country in the
U.S. Navy during World War II, worked at the old Norway Shoe Shop and spent
many years as a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of AARP and VFW.
She is survived by one son, Steve Kimball and wife, Beverly, of
Norway; two daughters, Sally Blankenship and husband,
Dave, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Rachel Coburn
and husband, Jerry, of South Paris; one step grandson, Christopher G. Fitch of
Norway; one grandson, Christopher L. Blankenship of Knoxville, Tenn.; one step great-grandson,
Christopher R. Fitch of South Paris; one step-great-granddaughter, Annabelle
Fitch of Norway; two sisters, Ellen Gilbert of Waterville and Priscilla Twitchell of Oxford; several nieces and nephews; many good
friends.
She was predeceased by two sons, Stanley Roy and Edwin C. Jr.;
father, Hollis; mother, Lillian; two brothers, Ellwood and Hollis; two sisters,
Edith (Mayberry) Pineau and Stella Dupont; and precious cat, "Dollie."

Margaret Bushley Knauer,
92, died peacefully in her sleep on Sept. 8, 2003, surrounded by loved ones at
Cedar Ridge "Resort" in Skowhegan, where she had been a guest for
about two years. She was born on Hancock Street in Rumford on May 30,1911, the daughter of Nelson T and Margaret Gillis Bushley. She graduated from Stephens High School in 1928
and Farmington Normal School in 1930. She married Frank Knauer
on December 26, 1936 and they made their home on Granite Street in Mexico for
many years. Frank predeceased her on June 1,1988.
Margaret taught elementary school at the Bisbee School in Rumford
and at Abbott School in Mexico, retiring in 1975. She was a communicant of St.
Theresa's Church in Mexico. She was a member of the Mexico School Board for six
years, and a member of the N.E.A., M.T.A. and Oxford County Teachers
Association. She was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Farrington
Morton Cemetery Association, belonged to the former Swift River Grange, served
on the board of directors of the Oxford County Senior Citizens in South Paris,
and was a member of the Neighborly Senior Citizens of Dixfield
and the Canton Senior Citizens group.
Surviving are two sons, Charles and wife, Mary of Auburn, and N.
Thomas of Mexico; three daughters, Peggyanne Blankenship of South Berwick, Catherine and husband, David Horne of
Santa Claus, IN, and Barbara and husband, Ric Arnold,
of Norridgewock; one brother, William Bushley and
wife, Clara, of Wallingford, CT; 10 grandsons, four granddaughters and eight
great grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by four sisters, Jessie Holmes of
Gorham, Katherine Williams of Nova Scotia, Flora Burgess of Rumford, and
Lillian Klein of Mexico; and one brother, Donald and wife, Marion of Gorham.

A funeral was held on Feb. 1, 2001, for Marjorie J. Woodworth, who died Jan. 29, 2001, at Portsmouth Regional
Hospital. The funeral was held at Second Christian Congregational Church and
officiated by the Rev. Nelson Howard III, along with her brother-in-law, the
Rev. Wing. Words of love and remembrance
were spoken by her son, Adam Woodworth, and her husband, Vance Woodworth. The
congregation was led in song by organist Marjorie Scully and solos were
performed by Curt Bassett.
She was also fondly remembered by her brother, Bill Blankenship of Leominster, Mass.; and her sister, Jean Blinkensop of Farmington. Friends and family were
provided a time of refreshment in the church fellowship hall by the ladies of
the church.
