Charley Calvin Blankenship, Son of William Calvin and Jane (Shivers)
Blankenship, was born near Montreal, MO, September 23, 1894, and passed away from a
heart attack at the home of his sister, Mrs. Verna Hammers of
Montreal, Feb 2, 1965 at 12;30 p. m.
He was formerly from
Phoenix Arizona, where he had made his home with a daughter for several years.
For the past two years, he had been visting with a
brother and sister and other relatives around Montreal.
Survivors include
three sons, Calvin of Hawarden, Iowa, Earnest, who is in the air force in Japan, Albert of California;
two daughters, Artie Benjamin of Kellogg, Idaho, Helen Busenbarrick of Phoenix, Arizona; one brother, Sid Blankenship of Montreal; two
Sisters Verna Hammers of Montreal, and Lizzie Pennington of Desota,
Kan.
He was preceded in
death by his wife Anna; His father and Mother; two brothers, Fred and Eddie.
Services were held in
Effingham, Kansas, Feb. 6, with burial near Horton, Kansas by his wife’s side.

Mr. Johnnie Elza
Blankenship died Friday at Humphreys Hospital in Tuscumbia just five days
after his 86th birthday. Mr. Blankenship, the son of Joe and Josephine
Blankenship, was born in Macon County on Nov. 6, 1874.
Early in life he united with the Hickory
Point Baptist Church where he retained his membership until his death.
On Dec. 23, 1899, he was married to Emma
Jan Hensley. Mr. Blankenship was preceded in death by his wife on July 18,
1953. They were the parents of five children.
He leaves three sons, Ora and Barney of Iberia and Lloyd of Burbank, Calif.; two
daughters, Isa Hopkins of
Kansas City, Kan., and Ruby Ponder of Granite City, Ill.; two sisters,
Gertie Jarrett of Jefferson City and Nellie Lewis of Iberia;
12 grandchildren, and 18 great_grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m.
Sunday at Humphreys Chapel in Iberia.The Rev. Don
Tyler officiated at the services Sunday. Interment was in the Iberia Cemetery.

Mrs. Nellie Mae Lewis, 74, died Friday,
July 26, 1968, at the Normandy Osteopathic Hospital in St. Louis where she had
been a patient since July 22. She was born Sept. 24, 1893 in Miller County near
Iberia, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Shockley)
Blankenship.
Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Hickory Point Baptist Church near
Iberia, and was formerly a member of the Iberia Baptist Church. She worked at
Fort Leonard Wood and at the Lake of the Ozarks.
On May 12, 1911 she was married to Jasper
Lewis who preceded her in death in June 1958.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ruth
Morton of St. Louis, Mrs. Faye Lawson of Rte. 3, Dixon, and Mrs. Glennis Hysore of Bellefontaine
Neighbors; seven….balance of copy missing
Funeral services were held at 2 pm,
Monday at the Stevinson Funeral Chapel in Iberia.

Eura Iven Vaughn, 67,
died Monday, Aug. 5, 1968, at his home near Iberia due to an undeterminable
amount of bee stings suffered while mowing his lawn. He encountered a swarm of
bees, resulting in the fatal stings. Mr. Vaughn was born June 15, 1901 in
Miller County near Iberia, the son of Albert and Myrtle Blankenship Vaughn.
He moved to St. Louis in 1923, and worked
for the McQuay-Morris Ammunition Plant, Commonwealth Steel, Ford Motor Co., and
Cinch Plastic Co. In 1955 he retired and moved back to Iberia. He had been a
member of the First Christian Church since 1966, and a former member of the Hickory
Point Christian Church. He also was a former member of Modern Woodmen of
America.
His parents, three brothers and four
sisters preceded him in death.
He was married May 21, 1921 at Tuscumbia
to Orpha Gardner who survives. In addition to his
wife of the home near Iberia, Mr. Vaughn is survived by one son, Duane Vaughn,
St. Charles; two daughters, Imogene Horner and Ina Ruth Vaughn, St. Louis;
seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and five sisters, Oma James and
Fern Powell of Iberia, Thelma Brooker of Columbia, Lorene Morrow of Clayton,
and Delphia James of St. Louis.
Funeral services were held at 10 am, Wednesday
at the First Christian Church in Iberia. The Rev. James Bade officiated at the
funeral services Wednesday. Burial was in the Livingston Cemetery near Iberia
under the direction of Stevinson Funeral Home of
Iberia. Pallbearers were Gerald James, Remus James, Bill Powell, Tom Powell,
Dan Russell and Don Larson.

William Guy Blankenship 57, of Iberia, died
Thursday, July 17, 1969. He was born Oct. 6, 1911, near Iberia, the son of William Nathan and Laura Mae
(Humphrey) Blankenship.
On Dec. 31, 1933 he was married at
Tuscumbia to Mattie Ophelia Rowden who survives. Mr. Blankenship had farmed
near Iberia and worked at Fort Leonard Wood.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Leroy and Dean of Iberia; one daughter, Mrs. Linda Harrison of
Washington, D.C.; one grandson; one brother,
Osby Blankenship; and two sisters,
Mrs. Venice Howser of
Jacksonville, and Mrs. Vivian Maley of Iberia.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.
Saturday at the Brays Advent Christian Church near Iberia, the Rev. Wilford
David officiated. Burial was in the Union Cemetery under the direction of Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia. Pallbearers were Leslie Maylee, Kenny Howser, Billie Humphrey, Earl W. Humphrey,
Jackie Robertson, Dale Rowden, David Humphrey and Loren Humphrey.

Albert H. Blankenship, 70, died on Tuesday, January 1, at his home in Wardell. Mr.
Blankenship was born May 30, 1892 in Darden, Tenn.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the First Baptist

officiated and burial was in Wardell Memorial Cemetery with Jimmy Osburn Funeral Home service.
