Robert P. Kelly. The Kelly family is saddened to announce the death of Robert P. Kelly, beloved husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and friend. Bob's gifts to us have been many. His virtue and generosity, his consistency and skill, his profound love of God, wife, family, and friends--through these Bob has inspired us all. Those of us who looked to Bob as a source of strength know how his presence will be missed and how his spirit will continue to thrive in everything we do. Robert Parker Kelly was born on July 17, 1929 in Highland Park, IL to Tom and Ita Kelly. A resident of Albuquerque since 1943, Bob graduated from St. Mary's High School and attended The University of New Mexico. Bob was an avid Notre Dame football fan and an avid golfer who once won the Kelly Golf Invitational, an annual event he relished. He was a respected member of Annunciation Parish for over 40 years, where he acted as a lector, a Eucharistic Minister, and a member of both the Social Concerns Ministry and of the Companions on the Journey.

The great joy of Bob's life was his large and devoted family, which includes his wife Dolly, his seven children and their spouses (Bob and Barbara Kelly; Jane and Jim Blankenship; Mike and Marianne Kelly; Pat Kelly and Lori Hunt; Brian and Julie Kelly; Dan and Suzanne Kelly; Matt and Marianthe Kelly), his fifteen grandchildren (Jennifer and husband Phil Lewis; Crystal, David, and Jonathan Kelly; Sarah, Sam, Mary, and Leah Blankenship; Meghan Kelly; Sophie, Aidan, and Catherine Kelly; Camille Kelly; Jane and Claire Kelly), and his two great-grandchildren (Arwyn and Alhana Lewis). To his wife Dolly, Bob was a loving husband and friend for over 52 years; to his children and grandchildren, he was a model of warmth and integrity; and to all who knew him, Bob Kelly was a man of intelligence, sensitivity, and fine company. Bob is also survived by his brother Jim and his wife Theresa, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Tom.

HALL -- Laura Hall passed into her eternal rest on Sunday, April 20, 2008. Known affectionately as "Laura Lee," she was born December 17, 1925, in Altus, OK to Henry and Fannie Starkey. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University at Shawnee, OK prior to her first marriage to Harold Miller, a Navy pilot, during WWII. After being released from the service, they moved to his home in Missouri. Soon after, he became ill and she took a teaching position in a one room school known as "Pinhook." This was the beginning of a long teaching career. After five years of marriage, Harold passed away from leukemia. She then married Russell Lindley and became mother to his two daughters, Carol and Sue. In 1956, the family moved to Albuquerque and settled in the Alameda community. Upon the death of her second husband in 1960, she returned to college finishing her BA degree at St. Joseph's College and her MA degree at UNM. She taught in the APS system for twenty-five years, where she was a dedicated teacher and a hard taskmaster. Laura is well remembered by many of her former students and by many of their children who she also taught. She retired from her position after a number of years at Alameda Elementary School but remained active in the NBA. Laura subsequently married two more times, first to Vernon Hall who passed away in 1990 and then to Fred Peckinpaugh who passed away in 2002. She was an active member of the Hoffmantown Baptist Church. Laura became involved with The Young at Heart Senior Gospel Choir eighteen years ago and served as vice president and a member of the official board for several years. She traveled with the choir extensively sharing her lovely alto solos and poignant (sometimes humorous) testimony. With an extended family of over one hundred twenty choir members, she has been a most beloved and revered presence and will be missed.
