David Bruce Blankenship, 36, of 144 Sunset Blvd., Aliquippa, died Sunday, April 30, 1995,
in his home following a brief illness. Born April 24, 1959, in East Liverpool,
Ohio, a son of Robert G. and Madge Price Blankenship, of East Liverpool, He had been a resident of Aliquippa for
seven years. He was employed as a control room operator with the Pennsylvania
Power Co., Shipping port, for 17 years. A member of the First United Methodist
Church, he was a 1977 graduate of East Liverpool High School, and had attended
Hiram College.
Surviving, in addition to his
parents, are his wife, Paula Bandish
Blankenship, Whom he married Aug
8, 1988; a daughter, Abby K. Blankenship, at home; a son, Evan David
Blankenship, at home; a brother, Robert G. Blankenship II, East Liverpool; three nieces, and two nephews.
Friends will be received today
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Dawson Funeral Home, 215 West Fifth St.,
East Liverpool, Ohio, Where a service will be conducted Wednesday at 11a.m. The
Rev. Dr. Robert Beckley, of the First United Methodist Church, and Father
Nicholas Mastrangelo, of S. John the Baptist Roman
Catholic Church, Monaca, will Officiate. Interment
will follow in the Riverview Cemetery.

Marian Colegrove Blankenship, 75, of Avenue F, Riverside, died Sunday,
Oct. 24, 1999, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born, in Evanston, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Louise and Kenneth W.
Colegrove, where Professor Colegrove
was chairman of the Northwestern University political science department.
Blankenship was a 1941 graduate of Evanston Township High School,
first in her class of 703, where she received numerous academic and athletic
awards. She received her degree in 1945 from Swarthmore College, with high
honors. After working as a medical records librarian in Michigan and Mount
Sinai Hospital, New York City, Blankenship held several management positions in
medical records and admitting at the former, Misericordia Medical Center,
Bronx, NY, now known as Our Lady of Mercy. From 1970 to 1972, she was president
of the Hospital Admitting Officers Association of New York.
In 1974, Blankenship became founder and first president of the
National Association of Hospital Admitting Managers (NAHAM), now know as the National Association of Health Care Access
Management. She was honored in 1978 by NAHAM's establishment of The Marian
Blankenship Distinguished Service Awards, given annually.
In Denville, NJ, Blankenship served as an officer of Morris Knolls
High School Football Booster Clubs, and was active in the College Club of
Mountain Lakes, The Rock Ridge Lake Club and Denville Friends of the Library. After
moving to Mifflinburg, she had been active in the Mifflinburg First
Presbyterian Church. Since moving to Danville, she had been a strong supporter of
Faith Chapel. Blankenship was a Tai Chi enthusiast.
She is survived by her husband,
"Jack" Blankenship, with who she would have celebrated a 54th
wedding anniversary as well as her 76th birthday on Dec. 21; a son, Geisinger cardiologist James Colegrove
Blankenship, Danville; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in Faith Chapel, Snydertown Road, Danville, followed by burial in Columbia
Hill Cemetery, Danville.
