Erich Hans Mitteslstaedt, age 93, passed away August 16, 1996 in Brigham City, Utah. Born March 9, 1903 in Koenigsberg, Germany, the son of Gustav and Anna Mittelstaedt. Married Charlotte Johanna Olschewski, May 14, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York. She preceded him in death August 30, 1990.

He worked for years at Archie McFarland & Sons. Retired from Little America. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and was a baseball and hockey enthusiast. He raised four children and remained married for 58 years to his sweet wife.

Survived by four children, Melvin Mittelstaedt, Tremonton, Utah; Richard (Dorthy) Mittelstaedt, Salt Lake City, Utah; Norma (Ronald) Ogborn, Tremonton, Utah; and Loretta (Jim) Blankenship , Stockton, California; 27 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 19, 1996, 11 a.m., at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens. T 8/18 N 8/18

Charles E. "Ted" Price Jr., 85, passed away on August 24, 1996, in Bountiful, Utah, due to complications with diabetes. Born April 27, 1911, in Salt Lake City to Charles Edwin Price Sr. and Agnes Luella Lucas. Married Helen Hyde on September 8, 1933. She passed away on December 4, 1962. Married Dorothy Aaron on December 19, 1965.

Ted was an avid Scouter all his life and spent his childhood at Tracy Wigwam. Member of the Elks club for many years and a member of the LDS Church. Worked 45 years at the Federal Reserve Bank as an accountant. Ted liked to travel and play golf.

Survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Terry (Elaine) Nivison, Mrs. Rex (Pat) Beazer, Mrs. Joseph (Judy) Whitaker; three stepdaughters, Mrs. David (Carol) Farris, Mrs. Bill (Linda) Taft, and Sandra Blankenship ; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his sister, Emma Luella Stein.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 28, 1996, 11 a.m. at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery. T 8/26 N 8/26

Married Hazel Adell Laird in 1966, Salt Lake City. Bob enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He owned and operated Holt Vending Co. of Salt Lake City. He was a loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Lynn Parkin, Salt Lake City; and Denise LaRae Holt, Portland, Oregon; two grandchildren, Stephanie Niche-le Griffiths and Whitney Laken Parkin, both of Salt Lake; one brother, David G. Holt of Bountiful; and sweetheart, Edda Blankenship , Salt Lake.

Evelyn K. Peterson, 83, died February 13, 1995. Evelyn lived in Salt Lake City most of her life, moving to Kennewick four years ago to be close to her daughter. She was a published poet. She received State and National awards in shorthand and typing. She was an accomplished seamstress.

Survived by daughter, Patricia Blankenship, Hermiston, Oregon; brothers, Keith Kerr, Ogden, Utah; Max Kerr, Salt Lake City; sister, Rowene Humphrey, Sandy, Utah; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by parents and a brother Wayne.

Our dear sweet sister and aunt, Melba Garn peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father October 15, 1998, at the age of 95. Melba was born January 1, 1903, to James and Alice Hitchen Bult. She married Claude Garn February 14, 1924, in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away April 20, 1974. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Delbert and Frank P. Bult.

Melba and Claude moved to North Hollywood, CA, and lived a very happy life. They later returned to Salt Lake where they retired. Melba loved bridge and belonged to three bridge clubs. She was a member of the Monument Park 9th Ward and held several positions in the Relief Society. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Melba will always be remembered by her family and friends as a very happy, positive and loving person. We love you Mel.

Survived by her sister, Dorothy B. Price; nieces, Joan Tanner, Barbara Little, Carol Farris, Linda Taft and Sandra Blankenship.

Funeral services will be held at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 2350 East 1300 South, Tuesday, October 20, 1998, at 1 p.m., where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery. T 10/18N 10/18

 (Okie) Rashie Curran, loving father, passed on October 23, 1997 in an accident. Born March 8, 1936 in Dustin, Oklahoma to Lois Blankenship and James Maggard. He was raised by a step-father (Curran). Okie served in the Army. He was a cook with a certificate to prove it. Okie loved to trap shoot, hunt, sports and saying he was 39 year after year. He coached baseball and basketball for many years in Grantsville, where he became a father to many kids. He was a fun loving man and was loved by many. Okie was a hard worker. He always had to be the best at what he did. With all his hard work, he cared for his children and any other person who came to him. He will be missed, but remembered by many.

He is survived by three daughters, Brenda Weaver, Susan Dirst and Tricia Curran; two sons, Rashie Gene Curran and Rashie (Reddy) Curran, Jr.; four sisters, Nema Jo, Sally, Linda and Pam; one brother, (Banjo) James Curran; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also a very special friend, Steve Scow.

Preceded in death by son, Michael Alton Curran.

Funeral arrangements are Tuesday, Oct. 28, 1997, with viewing at 10 a.m., Tate Mortuary, 110 S. Main, Tooele, Utah followed by a graveside service at the Grantsville City Cemetery. T 10/26T 10/26

Clyde Hall, a caring husband and father, passed away June 24, 1998 at the age of 81. He was born December 1, 1916 in Dry Fork, Utah, a son of Joshua Chellus and Gail Blankenship Hall. He spent his boyhood in Dry Fork and Hayden, Utah, where he learned to ride bronco horses and rope cattle. On May 4, 1940 he married Clara Colton. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in all of his callings. Clyde worked in the oil fields and loved the animals and flowers of the desert. He loved his family, teaching his children and grandchildren the fine art if fly fishing and love for the great outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Clara; and four children, Margene Jolley, Brent (Mary) Hall, Neldon (Wendy) Hall, and Steven (Jeanette) Hall; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five brothers and sisters, Floyd, Morgan, Marion Hall, Oral Merkley, and Dawna Wardell.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 27, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Maeser Third Ward Chapel, 2575 North 1500 West. Interment will be in the Maeser-Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Hullinger-Jolley Funeral Home. T 6/26N 6/26

Floyd Stanford Hall, age 86, of Vernal, died December 12, 1998 at the Castle Country Care Center in Price. Floyd was born September 24, 1912 in Dry Fork, Utah to Joshua Chellus and Gail Blankenship Hall. He married Betty Jo Batty on November 1, 1952 in Vernal, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 30, 1964. Floyd was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was a High Priest in the Ashley 1st Ward. He retired from Mt. Bell after 35 years. He loved to hunt and fish. He was an excellent skeet shooter and enjoyed being a cowboy. He was a self-taught oil painter and loved to play the guitar and sing.

Floyd is survived by his wife Betty Jo, of Vernal; children Deanna (Jim) Slaugh, of Leeds, UT; Howard (Joyce) Hall, of San Jose, CA; JoEllen (Ron) Litton, Wade (Mary Ellen) Hall, both of Vernal; eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers and sisters: Morgan Hall, Marion Hall, and Oral Merkley, off of Vernal, and Dawna Wardell of Rangely, CO.

 Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 17, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Ashley 1st Ward chapel, 2575 No. 1500 W. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Hullinger-Jolley Funeral Home. T 12/15N 12/15
