Georgia Ann Blankenship Love, age 66, passed
away unexpectedly in her home on August 31, 2016. Georgia was born in Dragerton, Utah on March 1st, 1950 to George E. and Frances Newell
Blankenship.
Georgia and her parents lived in East
Carbon, Utah where she remained a long time resident. Though she left briefly
to attend school at LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, her heart and
family remained in East Carbon. After college, Georgia met her life partner,
Joseph Love, and moved back to East Carbon. The two were married on October 16,
1973 in San Diego, California. Together they raised two children, Jodie Ann
Love and Cory Joseph Love.
Georgia was well known in the community
as she worked in the schools as a “lunch lady”, and spent many years greeting
people with her smiling face at Wal-Mart of Price. Georgia was a very friendly,
kind and understanding person, it was almost impossible to upset her. She spent
her time here with us baking, solving crossword puzzles, enjoying the holidays,
laughing with family and chatting on the phone with her best friend, Debbie.
Georgia and her mother, Frances, had a relationship of great love and
admiration. They enjoyed spending time together and did it frequently up until
her passing in 2000. Georgia also had a strong love for her cow collection, her

Co., UT, Obituary
Published in Deseret News on Jan. 8, 2017
Shirl H. Bunting, 89, friend to all, passed away peacefully on
January 2, 2017. He was born June 18, 1927 to Harold Lovett and Clara Squire
Bunting in St. George, Utah.
His childhood days were spent in St. George. He spent summers on
the Arizona Strip where his love of the red sand and rocks of Southern Utah was
cultivated. "You can't shake the red sand from your shoes". At age
14, his family moved to Bountiful, Utah where he graduated from Davis High
School. He joined the U.S. Navy during World War II, served a mission to the
Southern Central States Mission, attended BYU, U of U, and graduated from Utah
State University with a BS in Industrial Engineering.
He met his wife, Mona Jean Reese, at a dance at college. They were
married in the Logan LDS Temple and began life together in Dayton, Ohio. Shirl
worked for Frigidaire. They built a home in Bountiful, Utah, where they lived
for 52 years. His wife and children were the light of his life.
Shirl worked over 50 years as a heating/air equipment contractor
where he worked as a partner at Thermal Equipment Company. He started his own
business, Bunting Company, at an age when most people retire. Customer loyalty
and his wife's management skills combined with his honesty and hard work, made
it successful. He found joy in his family, friends, temple work, scouting,
gardening, music, and vacations with family to Yellowstone and Canyonlands.
His talents and skills included patience, basketball, audio and
video recording, woodworking, scouting, fishing, golf, lapidary, faceting,
music, and BYU and USU football games. Shirl was a man of character who loved
God and his fellowmen. His word was his bond. He served in many stake and ward
callings and service groups. Scouting was an avenue for him to "pay it
forward" to build and strengthen young men. He earned the Silver Beaver
award from the BSA. His greatest reward was seeing the accomplishments and
character development in those he served. He served an LDS mission in Nebraska
with his wife. He was a Bountiful Temple worker.
Preceded in death by his parents and "Big
Brother" Eldrid S. Bunting.
Shirl is survived by his wife, Mona; 5 children: David (Elizabeth), Kaylene
(Bruce) Redd, Douglas (Joan), Suzanne
Blankenship, Jill (Bryan) Judkins; 23 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many

The Davis County Clipper, (Bountiful, UT) - October 1, 2018
Mona Jean Reese Bunting, 86, passed away
peacefully on Sept. 26, 2018. She was born on April 12, 1932, in Logan, to Arvel
Charles and Gene Heninger Reese, the oldest of six
children.
Growing up on a farm in Benson, Utah, during the Great Depression
taught her to work hard, sacrifice, and be grateful for what she had. She
enjoyed school and always excelled. She attended Utah State University where
she met Shirl H. Bunting. They were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on Aug. 6,
1954, and spent 63 wonderful years together. Upon graduation with a degree in
elementary education, she moved with her new husband to Dayton, Ohio, where she
taught a class of 42 first graders without a single teacher manual. She
subsequently enjoyed being a full-time mother and homemaker to her five
children and husband in their Bountiful home.
Mona was blessed with many talents. She was a gifted pianist and
accompanist who was sought by many because she could
play by ear and transpose on the spot. Her legendary cooking blessed the lives
of family and those in need. Family History work was her passion, and she was
relentless in making every detail correct and complete. All will remember a
special talent she had of making each grandchild feel like her favorite!
Mona served in many callings as a member of The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints and especially enjoyed her stake callings which
resulted in some lifelong friendships. Service with her husband as a missionary
in the Nebraska Omaha Mission and as a Bountiful Temple worker brought her much
joy. Her testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ was her prized possession, and
she was faithful to the end. "Pray and have faith," was her advice
for any trial. Mona's daily influence and Christlike
love will be missed by many. She left a wonderful legacy of faith and service.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Shirl H. Bunting, and two siblings: Merilyn Parkin and Carleton

Maxine Croft Shreve, April 16, 1923 ~ Oct. 26, 2015, "She
Cared".
Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend,
reluctantly left each of us and this life on October 26, 2015. She had a
passion for life and her family, right up to her last breath. Born April 16,
1923 in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Ephraim and Annie Blankenship Croft, married Ray Shreve in 1942 (her companion for 44 years until he
passed away in 1984).
An organizer and leader, Maxine had many interests spanning her
life, from Literary Arts to Sports. After graduating from Pocatello High School
she started a 30-year secretarial career in the petroleum industry, working for
Idaho Refining Company, Phillips Petroleum, Beeline, Frontier and Husky Oil,
retiring in 1972. Maxine developed an expanding interest and participation in
Literary Arts, leading to membership in the Utah State Poetry Society, League
of Utah Writers, and the National League of American Pen Women. She endeavored
through the years to ensure cultural arts' groups had a place to meet within
the Art Center and serving as a Trustee on the BDAC Board. She served in
several offices of those organizations on local and state levels, and became a
published writer of articles and award winning poet. She felt her most valuable
achievement in service to poets was accomplished during the 14 years she served
in associate production with Dr. Rex Campbell of KSL's Sound of Music.
Maxine expressed that her son, David, was her "Rock" in
later years -- sharing their interest in watching sports, plays at Centerpointe and Lagoon theaters, and giving care and
compassion when she needed it most.
Preceded in death by husband Ray Shreve;
son Arthur Ray Shreve; sisters LaVonne Burke and
Betty Gwin; brothers Dewey Croft, and Pat and Dee Langholf: grandson in law Ray Wojtasek
and great grandson Logan Wojtasek.
Survived by: son David Shreve;
granddaughters Sheri Wojtasek and her fiancé Steve Carlsen; and Amanda Pierce; great granddaughters Kelsey,
Courtney, Carly and Cami; niece DeLores Drake, with
whom she shared a life-long special relationship; and many dear nieces,
nephews, cousins, and many treasured friends.
Maxine asked that there be only a Family Memorial Service.

Nicholas Paul Julian Jr. was born in Salt Lake City on Jan. 12,
1941 to Nicholas Julian Sr. and Rose Julian. He died on March 26, 2014 from
complications due to multiple myeloma. But what's more important is how he lived.
He once said, "I lived more in my lifetime than any 10 people could hope
for." Nick was always quick to laugh. He possessed imagination, a
personality larger than life, and was the consummate deal maker.
Nick loved life, his family, his Italian heritage, friends, warm
weather, rock 'n' roll, Harleys, traveling the world,
a great meal and the best Scotch money could buy. He also adored fast cars and
women (to say he loved women would be an understatement). He was always looking
for the next big deal. When times were tough, he would say, "Miracles and
impossible feats just take a second longer."
He was president of the Salt Lake Martini Foundation (Martini Bash)
for 20 years, and a member of the Rolls Royce Club. He was also a devoted
Catholic. His annual Christmas cards were legendary. He cared so deeply for his
grandchildren, and was always reminding them how important it was to spend time
together and do right by each other. He taught them how to work hard and play
harder. He was always there for anyone in need. You will be sorely missed. We
love you "Papa Nick."
He is survived by: daughters
Justeene Blankenship and Toni Druce (Milt); grandchildren Nicholas Druce, Stevie
Kay Blankenship and Whitney Druce; and great grandchildren Racheé
Hatch, Londyn Walker and Lilian Stevens.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 5th at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 Creek Road,
Cottonwood Heights.
A celebration of Nick's life will be held on Saturday, April 5th
from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake
City, where complimentary valet parking will be provided on the north side of
the building. Join us for a celebratory toast. We'll pass the microphone to
tell stories and laugh about the fun and crazy times we all enjoyed with him.
All are encouraged to come and lift a glass, drink a bit, tell stories, laugh
and celebrate his life. Please bring a favorite photo of him to put on the wall

Saturday, December 19th, the world lost a loving wife, mother,
grandmother, sister and friend. At home and surrounded by her family, beloved Linda Gail Blankenship of West Jordan, Utah was taken home to be
with her Lord and Savior after a six year battle with stage 4 Neuroendocrine
Carcinoid Cancer. Linda was born on March 14, 1947 in Lynchburg, Virginia to
Edward and Shirley Inge.
After living in Virginia, North Carolina and Idaho the Inge family
settled in Spokane, Washington where Linda graduated from Central Valley High
school in 1966. Linda had a long career as a dental assistant and enjoyed the
relationships she made with the staff and patients until her retirement in
2013.
On August 12, 1966 Linda married
her high school sweetheart, Jerry
Blankenship and they had three
beautiful children; Jarred, Jason and Amy. As a husband
and caregiver, Jerry set the bar unattainably high and is a role model for all.
He was by her side throughout her illness. They both were looking forward to
August when they would celebrate the 50th anniversary of possibly the happiest
of all marriages.
In 1992, after all the kids graduated from
high school Jerry and Linda moved to Salt Lake City and then West Jordan in
2004. Her most favorite
thing was being a grandmother and great-grandmother and cherished the time she
was able to spend with all of her family. Her unselfishness and willingness to
place strangers' and acquaintances' needs before hers and treating them as part
of her family blessed her with many close friendships throughout her life.
Besides her family, Linda's other passions where traveling and
quilting. She and Jerry were fortunate to travel to Hawaii, Mexico, Caribbean,
and Bahamas and throughout the Continental United States. Maui, Hawaii and
McCall, Idaho were just a couple of her favorite
places.
Linda is survived by her husband Jerry, her three children Jarred
(Stacey), Jason (Kim), and Amy (Scott) Barron; grandchildren: Taylor, J. T.,
Kaya, Andrew, and Tyrinn, and five
great-grandchildren; brothers: Dennis, Robert, Steven and Ronnie.
She was preceded in death by long-time sister-of-the-heart Julianne
Linlenquist Anthony; her mother Shirley and father
Edward.

2018, Provo, Utah Co., UT, Obituary
Kenneth Allen Palmer 1949 - 2018 was born in Farmington, New Mexico to Harold and Geneva Goodman
Palmer.
Ken often shared his childhood memories of spending hours in the
hills around his home in Bloomfield New Mexico finding arrowheads and pottery
shards. Their family spent many weekends camping in the mountains in Southern
Colorado. He enjoyed the outdoors and although he didn't enjoy hunting after
killing his first deer, he did love spending time in the mountains hiking, fly
fishing and later in life, taking photos.
Ken is the oldest of three boys in the Palmer family. All of the
boys were involved in sports from the time they were old enough to walk and
throw a ball. He was a natural athlete and excelled in all the high school
sports and eventually led his high school football team to a state championship
as their quarterback.
After graduation from Bloomfield High School, Ken attended Brigham
Young University. He majored in political science and philosophy with the idea
of attending law school. But as he worked his way through college by managing a
restaurant and later a copy center, he decided to get his master's degree in
business.
During his first year of the MBA program, he met Denise Stephenson.
He always said that "she chased me until I caught her" They dated for
two years and after he graduated, they became engaged and were married on December 20, 1975. They have
loved their life together and shared many hobbies. They enjoyed traveling,
golf, scuba diving and BYU sports. Ken enjoyed his time in the business world
and worked for several companies in the manufacturing field. After a time as a
management consultant for Touche Ross, he worked for
Everest & Jennings, Paragon Precision Products and then for Stryker
Corporation. These companies took the family to southern California, South
Africa and Kalamazoo Michigan. After leaving Stryker, Ken helped start Magleby's Fresh restaurants in Utah and the family moved to
Provo in 2000.
Ken was not raised in a home where the gospel was taught, but
developed a strong testimony because of his life experiences. He served in many
callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints He was most
recently serving on the High Council of a Young Single Adult stake where he
loved interacting with the young people there.
When Ken was diagnosed with glioblastoma, his deep faith helped him
to look forward to the adventure ahead in the next life. His biggest regret
about dying was leaving Denise behind. He would often say he hated the word
"widow".
Ken and Denise are the parents of 6 children and 21 grandchildren.
He dearly loved his family and would visit them as often as he had a chance.
Even when he was not feeling well, he wanted to be with them. The children and
their spouses are Jamie and Andy Marinos, Alisa and
Matt Fogt, Bekah and Jim Blankinship, Brian and Colleen Palmer, Shalane and Dan Brower, and Jay and
Megan Heath. He hopes that his greatest legacy to his family will be the way he
faithfully endured to the end.
Funeral services for Ken will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday,
December 29, 2018, at the chapel located at 4220 Foothill Dr., Provo.

Dr. Velma Bertha Saunders passed away peacefully at her home in Ogden on February 13, 2015.
She was surrounded by her devoted daughter, Valetta, and her loving caregivers.
Velma was born on December 2, 1909 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Lee and Mattie Green
Blankinship.
She also lived in Kansas City and Washington, D.C., before moving
to Ogden in 1936. In her growing up years, she witnessed the lynching of a
black man who was accused of whistling at a white girl. Upon her arrival in
Ogden she was shown which side of the street "colored"
people were allowed to use, was not allowed in most restaurants, and was
barred from using public drinking fountains and restrooms. These were just a
few of the injustices she suffered.
Velma chose to respond by doing positive things for her adopted
community such as advocacy for the construction of a community center on the
west side of town, installation of semaphores for school children crossing Wall
Avenue, removal of an intrusive industry in a minority neighborhood,
establishment of senior centers and services for the nutrition and
transportation of older residents, and as a sponsor of other community
improvement projects.
She soon began to change community attitudes with her friendly,
disarming approach to her fellow citizens. She became a community celebrity. "God
gave each of us the ability to do something good in our lives. I chose
community service-especially helping those less fortunate." she often
said. Velma served over 30 years as receptionist for the Weber County
Commission. For the past eight years she has worked at United Way of Northern
Utah. Having received an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities from Weber State
University, she proudly displayed her desk nameplate which read, "Dr. Velma
Saunders - Receptionist."
She received many other community awards including Utah's Older
Worker of the Year, Spirit of the American Woman from Your Community
Connection, Weber County Citizen of the Year, honors from the Ogden City
Council, Martin Luther King Jr. Drum Major Award and an inaugural invitation
from the White House.
Velma married Jack Wilson and they had one son, Noel Eugene Wilson,
who served in the United States military. She and Jack were later divorced. She
later married James Harold Saunders and they had a daughter, Valetta, who
devoted the last ten years to looking after her mom with kindness, tolerance
and respect.
Velma was preceded in death by her mother and father, her sister Ethel Dixon,
her brother Lawrence Blankinship, her son Noel and her granddaughter Cheryl
Hood.
She is survived by her daughter Valetta and husband, Dr. Gunter Alberti, of Shawnee Kansas and grandson Tyrone Wilson.

at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Interment, Lindquist's
