Edwin J. Ed Miller, age 77, of Beaver Dam, died on Saturday,
October 20, 2007, at his home surrounded by his family. The Funeral Service
will be held on Wednesday at the Murray Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Dr.
Jack Harrison officiating. The John E. Miller American Legion Post # 146 will
conduct military honors, following the service.
Edwin John Miller was born on February 21, 1930 in Chicago,
Illinois. After graduating High School, he joined the United States Air Force
from 1947 until 1951. On April 15, 1961 he was united in marriage with Martha
Marti Lipps in River Forest, Illinois. Ed and Marti
raised their three children in Illinois and he was a Fire Fighter for the
village of Oak Park for 23 years. Later, they moved to Beaver Dam and Ed worked
at Wayland Academy for eight years, followed by part- time work at Wal-Mart. He
also enjoyed spending his time volunteering at the Beaver Dam Community
Hospital. Ed was a member of the John E. Miller American Legion Post #146 and
the 40 & 8 Dodge County Voiture Locale #856. He
was a good friend of Bill W.
Ed is survived by his wife, Marti Miller, Beaver Dam, his three
children, Michelle (Steve) Roehri, Hanover Park, IL,
Melinda (Mark) Bogda, Glen Ellyn, IL and Michael
(Rachel) Miller, Minot, ND. He is also survived by his four grandchildren,
Mandy Miller, Minot ND, Joshua Miller, Hurlbert
Field, FL and Taryn and Kyle Bogda,
both of Glen Ellyn, IL, his brother, Lee (Joyce) Davis, Cortland, IL, three sisters-in-law, Christine (Neal)
Woodruff, Lewisburg, PA, Mary (Lynn) Blankenship, Beaverton, OR and Irene Sanders, Maywood, IL, two
brothers-in-law, Willard (Khoun) St. Germain, Wayne, IL and Larry (Shirley) Lipps,
Beaver Dam, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Sanders.

James “Jimmer” E. Hannebaum,
63, of Janesville, died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Don & Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center, Fitchburg. He was born in Springfield,
OH, on November 29, 1944, the son of Charles and Eunice (Hamilton) Hannebaum. He graduated from Springfield High School and
attended Wittenburg College, where he received his
degree as an Industrial Engineer. After several years at Hobart Industries, Jim
was offered a job with Kimberly Clark. Jim was an exceptional salesman, showing
great emphasis in all aspects of the trade. After making several contacts in
the Manitowoc area, he was offered a position at Manitowoc Tool and Machining,
where he worked several years. Jim and Debra married during a sunset ceremony
on Lumahai Beach in Kauai, HI on May 18, 2000. The
couple relocated to Janesville, where Jim, being a silent partner in Fabmaster Inc., joined his partners as the company began to
grow. Jim enjoyed his short times on his fishing boat, golfing, and special
trips with his wife. He was a very generous, compassionate person who always
offered a helping hand.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debra; a son, Scott ( Terri) Hannebaum of Huber Heights, OH; a daughter, Lynne Blankenship of McFarland, WI; five grandchildren: Haleigh, Taylor, Wesley, Skylar and Gunner; one sister,
Mary (Merrill) Keplinger of Springfield, OH; two
sister-in-laws; Donna (Garry) Glover of Montello, WI and Diane Trimble of
Endeavor, WI; and best friend, John (Claudia) Calloway of Pennsylvania and
their children, Jason and Rachel Calloway; and many other extended family and
friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Kathryn “Kitty”
Wagner and Martha Love.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 13,
2008, with Pastor Tim Erickson officiating at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER &
SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME. Friends may gather to share memories at 2 p.m. until
the time of service at the funeral home.

Mary Belle Karr, age 68, of Mukwonago, Wis., passed away Sunday,
Oct. 18, 2009 in Mukwonago. Born February 10, 1941, she was the daughter of the
late James Edward and Mae Dotson Hunt Stacy.
She was employed as cashier for over 20 years at Farmer Jack's Grocery
Store in the Detroit area and was a former Oral Surgeon's Assistant in
California. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one
sister, Bonnie Mullins; and one brother, Donald Stacy.
Mary worked tirelessly on the 1980 and 1984 Reagan/Bush
presidential campaign and was nominated and served as delegate to the 1980
Republican National Convention and was subsequently invited (and attended) the
Presidential Inauguration ceremonies and events. Mary was very proud of this
accomplishment. Before Mary was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, she loved to
travel, read and spend time with her family and friends. She was a loving
mother, "Nana" and friend.
Survivors: One daughter, Mrs. Jim (Missy) Cleary, Mukwonago, Wis.;
three sons, Jim Smith, Columbia, S.C., Greg Smith, Mt. Chase, Maine, Mark Karides, Chicago, Ill.; grandchildren, Joe Cleary, Sam
Cleary, and Olivia Cleary of Mukwonago, Wis., and Alex Karides
of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Jackie Dotson, Elgin, Ill., Teddy Stacy,
Freddy Stacy; four sisters, Ellen Hite, Elgin, Ill., Clara Smith, Kentucky,
Betty Stacy, West Virginia, Barbara Matney, West
Virginia. She is also survived by many friends from many places.
Funeral services for Mary Karr will be held Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009
at 2 p.m. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel at Grundy, Va. with the Rev. Doug Blankenship officiating with burial to follow in the Boyd Blankenship Cemetery, State Line Road Ridge No. 1, Virginia.
