He was born Jan. 2, 1962, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of Roger and
Phyllis Lemaster Floyd of Huntington. He was a credit
manager for G. C. Services.

Steve Floyd of Seattle, Wash., and Mark and Sheri Floyd of Huntington a sister

Harold Eugene Harvey, 77, of Huntington, W.Va.., died Friday, Feb.
26, 1999 at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. He was born Nov. 19, 1921
in Cabell County, W.Va., a son of the late Hez and Louvist Elkins Harvey. He was a retired route driver for Bordens, a member of the Westmoreland Church of Christ, a
WW II Army veteran and a life member of I.O.O.F. #64.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Isabelle Harvey and
Margaret Napier.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Harvey of Huntington, W.Va.. two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald Eugene and Dreama Harvey of Proctorville, Ohio and Donald H. and
Connie Harvey of Tallahassee, Fla. two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and
Brenda Harvey of Huntington, W.Va., and Bob and Dolores Harvey of Huntington,
W.Va. one sister and brother-in-law, Genevieve and Raymond Beaman
of Dayton, Ohio seven grandchildren,

Mrs. Margaret M. Moreland, 64, of Huntington, wife of Donald J.
Moreland, died Monday, March 8, 1999, in St. Mary's Hospital. She was born June
28, 1934, in Catlettsburg, Ky., the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Blankenship Maynard.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Meta Clemons. She was a
retired clerk at CSX and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Also surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Bill
Powers of Barboursville one granddaughter, Lindsey Powers of Barboursville two
brothers, Thomas Maynard of Knoxville, Tenn., and Clarence Maynard of Ashland.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at 2 p.m.
at Fellowship Baptist Church of which she was a member with Dr. Jerry Warren
and the Rev. Tim Maynard officiating clergy. Burial will be in Spring Hill
Cemetery, Huntington. Deacons of the church will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Lucille Jean Webb Andrews, 75, of Huntington, W.Va., passed
her light of love, humor and kindness to her family and friends on March 14,
1999, at her home. She was born June 17, 1923, in the coal mining community of
Morrisville, (Boone County) W.Va., the daughter of the late Floyd and Delilah
Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard T. Andrews three sisters, Ruby Blankenship,
Opal Fannin and Bessie Hamilton and three brothers, Bernard, Floyd Jr. and
Frank C. Smith. During World War II, she worked for the Sylvania Corporation.
She was retired from the Huntington State Hospital and spent many years after
her retirement as a dining room volunteer at the Cabell County Senior Citizens
Center. She was a dedicated member of the VFW auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Roger D. and
Linda K. Hamilton and S. Michael Webb, both of Huntington one brother and
sister-in-law, Harry K. and Anna Mae Smith Sr. of Kenova four grandchildren,
Jason M. Webb of Charlotte, N.C., S. Matthew Webb and their mother, Genie Webb,
both of Huntington, JuliA. Swolsky of Bettendorf, Iowa, and M.
Tyler Cummings and his mother, Martha Cummings, of Huntington one
great-granddaughter, Lindsey D. Webb of South Point, Ohio and many loving
nieces and nephews, plus numerous thoughtful friends and neighbors.
Pastor Andy Magnusson of the Baptist Temple will conduct a
graveside service at 1:30 p.m. March 16, 1999, at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden
Mausoleum.

Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ike Nicholson officiating. Burial will be in Spring
Valley Memory Gardens. He was born August 21, 1931, in Philippi, WV, a son of
the late Roy G. and Virgie Grass Ellis.
He was a retired employee of Chandler's Plywood Products Inc. and
an employee of Security America. He attended Sunshine Freewill Baptist Church
and was retired from the W.Va. National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve. He was
a member of the National Federation of State High School Officials and was a
high school football official in West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky.
Survivors include his wife, June Ellis one son and daughter-in-law,
William R. Ellis Jr. and Carla Ellis of Huntington two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Bill Blankenship of Atlanta, GA, and Beckey and Mike

Mr. Garrett Workman, 63, of Huntington, W.Va., died Wednesday, July
14, 1999 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday,
July 17, 1999 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, W.Va., with Brother Jerry
Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Dock's Creek Cemetery.
He was born June 26, 1936 in Zelda, Ky., a son of the late Charles
H. and Anna Ruth Fuggett Workman. He was a
self-employed carpenter. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in
Prichard, W.Va.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one
brother, Charles Workman. He was the beloved husband of Doris Watts Workman for
43 years.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Robert Easterling of Proctorville, Ohio two grandchildren and
their spouses, Bobby and Tammy Easterling of Proctorville, Ohio, and Michelle
and Chad Rule of Proctorville, Ohio three great-grandchildren, Miranda Rule,

sons-in-law and grandsons.
He was born on February 4, 1923, in Huntington, WV, son of the late
Ray M. Stoner and Mary Lee Farley Stoner. He was a retired self-employed
building contractor. He was a member of the Twentieth Street Baptist Church. He
was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Blankenship Stoner in 1996, and by one daughter, Jeri Lynn
Stoner in 1976. He was preceded in death by one sister, Eleanor Hensley, and
one brother, James Stoner.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and

Robert Lee Perry, 58, of Huntington, passed away on October 31,
1999. He was the son of Rush and Gladys Stephens Perry of Wayne.
Mr. Perry served four years in the United States Navy and retired
from the Huntington Fire Department in 1979, and was a lifetime member of the
International Association of Fire Fighters Local 289 and the Veterans of
Foreign War of Huntington Post 1064. Before retiring he received commendations
for bravery and outstanding service in performing rescue operations during a
structure fire. He was well known and liked in the community and was a loving
father and loyal brother. He will be missed by all. Mr.
Perry is preceded in death by his father and mother.
He is survived by one son, Jack C. Perry and his wife Jennifer H.
Perry of Huntington and two daughters, Amy Leigh Scott and her husband Keith
Scott of St. Albans, and Lori Ann Perry of Huntington two grandchildren, Kayla
Scott and William Jackson Perry brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd and Phyllis

of Renick, died November 9, 1998, at the home of her
daughter, Virginia Ruth Herndon, of Lewisburg, after an extended illness. Mrs.
Cochran was a Presbyterian. She was born April 15, 1917, at Beard to the late
Raymond and Ida Bessie Underwood Cochran. Preceding her in
death were two sisters, Daisy Blankenship and Dollie Wells; two brothers, John and Clarence Cochran.
In addition to her daughter, survivors include two sons, Paul G.
Cochran, of White Sulphur Springs, and Kenneth C. Cochran, of Buckeye; a
brother, Walter F. Cochran, of Lewisburg; eleven grandchildren; seven
step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and
five great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at Wallace and Wallace

Melt-Casting in Barberton, and was previously a coal miner, having worked at
Bethlehem Steel in Idamay, W. Va.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine (Geri) Conner McInturff of Rivesville; sisters, Norma Lee Thorne of
Rivesville, and Virginia Myers of Fairmont; grandchildren, Mary Ann McInturff, Judy

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday at the Fanning
Funeral Home Chapel, Iaeger, WV, with the Rev. Ruford Abner officiating. Burial will follow in the Tom
Sparks Cemetery, Bradshaw Mtn. near Paynesville. Graveside military rites will
be conducted by the Sandy River District American Legion Post #175.

Mr. Troy Rose, 70, of P.O. Box 25 died Dec. 5, 1992, in Lincolnton, NC. Funeral is 1:30 p.m.
today at The United Church of God in Atwell Mountain, W.Va., with the Revs. Woodrow Shelton, Freddie Dobbs and Roger Hale officiating.
Burial will be in Deskins Church cemetery in Atwell Mountain. E.F. Drum Funeral

Mr. Rose, a coal miner, was born in McDowell County, W.Va., son of
the late Charlie and Kneelous Day Rose.

Mrs. Evelyn Marie Asbury, age 59, of Bluewell,
W.Va., formerly of the Princeton area, died Friday at a Princeton hospital.
Born March 14, 1931, at Oakvale, she was the daughter
of Houston Richards of Princeton and the late Nannie Blankenship Richards. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Orvin Franklin Asbury, and two brothers.
In addition to her father, she is survived by one son, Roger
Asbury, Wytheville, Va.; five daughters, Mrs. Linda Carol Pauley, Princeton,
W.Va.; Mrs. Janet Graham, Kingsport, Tenn.; Mrs. Patricia Lucas, Bluewell, W.Va.; Mrs. Deborah Guthrie, Roanoke, Va.; Mrs.
Camellia Wagner, Boone, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Cleo Arvis,
Petersburg, Va.; Mrs. Zella Brown Veneri, Beckley,
W.Va.; seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory in Princeton
with the Rev. Jimmie Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial
Park at Bluewell.

Bluefield, W. Va. died on Friday, November 26, 1999, at her residence. Born on
January 25, 1935, in Pageton, W. Va., she was a
daughter of Frank Hall and Coila Wiseman Hall.
Mrs. Davis had been a resident of Bluewell
for 34 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Bluewell
United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Gary High School, and was a
former member of the Pageton Order of Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Blankenship, and three brothers, Otis, Norman, and
Edward Hall.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmie R. Davis of Bluewell, W. Va.; a daughter, Pamela Rash and husband, John
of Pineville, W. Va.; son-in-law, Douglas Nester of Bluewell,
W. Va.; granddaughter, Emily Nester of Bluewell, W.
Va.; sister, Nancy Machincia and husband, Johnny of
Dublin; and brother, Billy Joe Hall and wife, Peggy of Dublin; and several
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 29, 1999, at
11 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell
with the Rev. D. Homer Stewart officiating. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn
Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell, W. Va. T. A.

Blankenship, Betty Lou, of Route 3, Box 689, Bluefield, W.Va., died Wednesday, May 29,
1996, at her home. Born in Waitville, W.Va., she was
a daughter of the late Frank and Coila Wiseman Hall.
She was a graduate of Gary High School and had taken her nurses
training at St. Lukes Hospital. She had worked at the
Bluefield Sanitarium as a licensed practical nurse, and retired from the Childrens Clinic in Bluefield. She was a member of the Bluewell United Methodist Church, as well as the Rock
Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the VFW
Ladies Auxiliary and the Bluewell Woman's Club.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Hall and Edward
Hall.
She is survived by her husband
of 50 years, Lawrence
Blankenship of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Jenny Blankenship of Charlotte, N.C.; brothers, Otis Hall of

He was a WWII U. S. Army veteran, having received the Bronze Star
and two Purple Hearts. He was a retired employee of the Celanese Corp., a
former member of the Peterstown Town Council and past president of the
Peterstown Library Board.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers,

Thomas Woodrow "Woodie" Blankenship, 83, of the McLean Addition of Beckley,
died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, in a Beckley hospital following a long illness.
Born Aug. 2, 1916, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Fred and Virgie Bowling
Blankenship.
Mr. Blankenship
spent his childhood at Maben, where he was a graduate of Mullens
High School. He was retired from Eastern Associated Coal Co. He was a former
resident of Mabscott and had resided on Circle Street
the past 25 years. Mr.
Blankenship was a member of
the Mabscott United Methodist Church and the United
Mine Workers of America.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, E. V. and John Blankenship;
and three sisters, Hattie, Ila and Lucille.
Survivors include his wife
of 61 years, Newatsa
Halsey Blankenship; two daughters, Mary Lou Hatton and her husband, Doug, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Linda Stull and her husband, Max, of Huntington; five grandchildren,
Jeffrey Bedinger and his wife, Kim, of Dayton, Ohio,
Thomas Bedinger and his wife, Jennifer, of Atlanta,
Michael Stull and his wife, Joan, of Huntington, and Ryan and Bevin Stull, also
of Huntington; four great-grandchildren, Brandon, Daniel and Kyle Bedinger, and Zoey Stull; and a sister, Pearl Hendricks of Los Angeles, Calif.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Melton Mortuary Chapel, with
the Revs. James Lawson and Sterling Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in
Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Grandsons and nephews will serve as
pallbearers.

Artie Melissa Adkins Fry, 92, of East Lynn and Shoals, WV, went to
be with her Lord on Friday, Feb. 5, 1999 at her residence. Funeral services
will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 1999 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel,
Wayne, WV, by Pastors Leo Gibson and Larry Blankenship.
Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne, WV. Her grandsons will
serve as pallbearers.
She was born Nov. 2, 1906 on Little Lynn, in East Lynn, WV, a
daughter of the late Pendleton and Elizabeth Jane (Stephens) Adkins. She was a
wonderful and caring mother, grandmother, wife and aunt. This beautiful lady
was a believer in God and was a member of Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, and
was dedicated to him throughout her 92 years life. She was a kind, generous and
loving woman and we will miss her. Our loss is Heaven's gain.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, Andrew J. Fry III two

Marie Blankenship,
75, died Friday, Sept. 18, 1998, in a Beckley hospital following a long
illness. Born Oct. 9, 1922 in Logan County, she was the daughter of the late
Perry Andrew Harvey (1899-Deceased) and Etta Toler-Harvey (1903-Deceased).
Mrs. Blankenship was co-owner of Rite Way Food Market and attended
the Pineville Church of God. She was a 51 year resident of Pineville.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Harvey (Deceased);
and an infant brother.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Curtis Blankenship
(1922-2005); three sons, Danny Blankenship and his wife, Karen, Jerry
Blankenship and his wife, Kathy, and Eddy Blankenship and his wife, Sheila, all
of Pineville; a daughter, Peggy Blankenship-Baldwin and her husband, Larry of Kopperston; a brother, Howard Harvey and his wife, Evelyn
of Mallory; a sister, Eloise Harvey-Grimmett and her
husband, Junior of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
and a step-granddaughter.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Calfee Funeral Service Chapel,
Pineville, with the Rev. Silas Mullins officiating. Entombment will follow in
Palm Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
